This project was a complete renovation of a Georgian-style residence in Constantia, redesigned as a luxurious summer retreat. The kitchen was entirely reimagined—relocated and expanded to include a back-of-house chef’s kitchen and a front-facing show kitchen, anchored by a striking pink onyx island with a built-in champagne bar.
Upstairs, the second floor was reconfigured to accommodate two spacious suites, one of which features new flooring throughout. All bathrooms were fully renovated: the guest toilets in a bold black-and-white palette, and the master en suite with his-and-hers spaces finished in beautiful marble and bronzed mirror cladding. A new ground-floor guest suite was also added for enhanced comfort and flexibility.
One of the most significant architectural transformations was the staircase. The original dual spiral staircases were replaced with a single grand stairwell that now anchors the entrance hall with elegance and scale.
The pool room was brought to life with botanical wallpaper and the addition of a sauna, creating a tranquil flow between indoor and outdoor living. Throughout the home, high-end finishes, layered textures, and bold colours and wallpapers were carefully selected to reflect our client’s vibrant and expressive taste.
In keeping with the client’s Austrian background, we collaborated closely with a design firm in Austria to ensure seamless communication and alignment on the shared design vision.
